Deputy in chief of former BUSBank and present "Capitalbank" Elchin Aliyev was arrested.
He is accused in ordering the kidnap of the wife of Jahangir Hajiyev-wife of the International bank chairman.
The information about it was given to APA from the sources in law enforcement organs.
Wife of J.Hajiyev was kidnapped in on February 10. Official sources haven't yet confirmed the fact. Yesterday at night special operation was held to set the woman free. As a result of the operation held by the Ministry of National Security the wife of bank chairman was freed.
According to the information, she was kept in the bunker of the house of the officer of Crime Investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, colonel Haji Mammadov situating in Keshla settlement. As a result fire happened. After the criminals saw the house to be surrounded by the operators they made an armed resistance. There is no information about the wounded or killed people. Some amount of weapon and arm was found from the place of the incident.
According to the source, crime was realized by an organized team. The team is said to consist of 16 persons. They demanded 6 million euros instead of freeing the woman.
It must be mentioned that, official sources have given no information about the operation held. E.Aliyev was not in the place of the incident, was arrested afterwards. Before being arrested by the associates of law enforcement organs E.Aliyev not willing to surrender, threatened to kill himself and the members of his family. But at last, he surrendered. Some high posted police associates are told to be among the arrested ones. Associate of press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs neither approved nor denied the information.
