1009 crimes were committed in Azerbaijan in January 2005. In comparison with January 2004 the rate of crimes increased for 16,2% as State Statistics Committee informed Trend. In January 2004 crimes were 2,4% in comparison with January 2003.
In January 20 murders and attempts to murders (percentage of increase is 5,3%), 24 acts of premeditated body injuries (percentage of increase is 33,3%), 5 rape and attempts to rape (66,7%), 12 bandit acts (9,1%), 2 robbery (-91,8%), 137 theft (53,9%), 31 of which is house burglary (3,3%), 37 deviousness (8,8%), 55 hooliganism (-32,1%), 114 breaking rules of road safety and exploitation of means of transport (34,1%) including 63 cases with death results (43,2%) were committed.
The number of the other crimes is 603 (116,6%).
