Ecological Department of SOCAR (The State Oil Company of Azerbijan) held an environmental monitoring at the Sangachal-Duvanli-Khere-Zire offshore field, the Ecology Department's official website reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the monitoring at the field, which is on the balance of N.Narimanov Oil and Gas Recovery Management, was conducted using a MRK-452 vessel.
At the selected stations in the field samples were taken from bottom sediment, benthos, phytoplankton and zooplankton," the report said.
SOCAR includes Azneft (onshore and offshore oil and gas production), Azerkimya (chemical industry) and Azerigas (gas distribution) production associations, as well as a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises and institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling operations.
