After studying the information regarding the unathorized rallies financially sponsored, that was spready by some Azerbaijani media outlets, an appropriate assessment to the activity of U.S. National Democratic Institute will be given, Head of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Social and Political Department Ali Hasanov told journalists on Friday.
"Information was spread by the media, there are facts about the activities of some NGOs including the National Democratic Institute of the United States. Azerbaijani government will study the objectivity of this information," Hasanov noted.
He added that Azerbaijani government is very attentive to every information in the media, whether it is associated with the government, society and the state, embassies working in Azerbaijan or to the activities of NGOs.
"If the information appeared in the press, it should be studied," Hasanov underscored, adding that not one international organization or NGO can put pressure on Azerbaijan.
"Of course there are attempts, there are inter-governmental organizations, NGOs, states which hold position opposite to the one of Azerbaijani government's decisions, opposite to its independent policy, its transnational projects implemented in the South Caucasus, its security policy, energy policy and bilateral and multilateral relations with foreign partners," Hasanov said.
The official said Azerbaijani government considers recommendations, pressure and influence of these organizations, within the national interests of the state.
"We say "yes" to those with whom our interests coincide, we co-operate with those who fit our interests, and we do not perceive and will not perceive those who do not," Hasanov noted.
It has been previosly reported by some media outlets that U.S. National Democratic Institute allocated 2 million manats through Facebook for planning a revolution in Azerbaijan.
