The winter session of NATO International School of Azerbaijan (NISA) on topic “Challenges to Security in the Caspian Region” is being held in Azerbaijan.
Delivering a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, NISA director Huseyn Panahov said representatives from Azerbaijan and 17 countries are participating in the event. The participants will discuss potential sources of contradiction in the Caspian region, energy security and military conflict in the Caucasus.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov informed about the importance of the region and its impact on the ongoing processes in Russia, Iran and Turkey. Famous scientists, experts, diplomats and politicians are expected to make speeches at the event. The session will end on February 9.
