Heydar Aliyev is a symbol of friendship between Turkey and Azerbaijan and strengthening the friendship was a priority of his policy, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay was quoted today by TV channel TRT Haber.
He said that a language policy, initiated by Heydar Aliyev, has led to a revival of the Turkic language.
Deputy Prime Minister has also stressed Heydar Aliyev's contribution in the development of Azerbaijan as an independent country.
