Azerbaijan`s Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov has today met newly-appointed ambassador of the US Richard Morningstar. Heydarov expressed hope the ambassador`s tenure will mark the development of the Azerbaijan-US relations.
He briefed Morningstar on the Ministry`s work to prevent and eliminate the consequences of emergency situations in the country. He stressed the progress in expansion of the cooperation between Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Emergency Situations and appropriate US agencies in managing emergency situations.
Morningstar stressed the necessity expanding and developing the cooperation between the two countries` emergency situations authorities.
