Azerbaijan considers it important to learn from the experience of the Israeli police.

Interior Minister Colonel-General Ramil Usubov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz on Thursday, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.

The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished success in diplomatic activity.

The Minister informed the Ambassador about the basic rules and objectives of Interior Ministry, about the current crime situation, the problems faced by Azerbaijan in the first years after independence, the occupation of Azerbaijani lands as a result of Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan, the reforms carried out in the internal affairs, success achieved in the fight against crime and the maintenance of public order and about control over the operational situation.

Ramil Usubov noted that democratization and transformation processes were carried out at the Ministry, and stressed that Azerbaijan integrates into Europe, adopts laws, which are based on democratic principles and improve the work of the police. He noted the important role of the specialists from different developed countries and international organizations in this work.

Usubov noted the importance of studying the experience of law enforcement agencies in Israel.

The Ambassador noted that he had worked in many countries, and stressed that Azerbaijan is one of the safest countries in the world in terms of providing a high level of social order and stability, expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Azerbaijan and its capital.

Israeli ambassador stressed that he will make every effort to strengthen relations between the two countries.
