OJSC Azeryolservis of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry reported that the company launched work on laying of the first layer of asphalt concrete pavement on a new Salyan -Shorsulu road as a part of upgrading the Alat-Astara-Iran border highway.
According to the report, the pavement work is being carried out in parallel to the excavation work. The road technical level 1b 24.8 km, width - 26.5 meters. The road will have four lanes.
The modernization work also includes construction of five underpasses and a bridge over the Mil-Mugan collector. The length of the bridge is to be 108.4 meters, width - 28.6 meters, the report reads.
