Azerbaijan will restore a historical monument in Rome. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Pontifical Commission for Sacred Archaeology of Italy.
According to AzerTac, the information was published by Italian online edition "Abitare a Roma". According to the memorandum, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will allocate funds for the restoration of the historic monument of the 4th century of St. Peter and St. Marcelline in Rome. This issue was discussed during the visit of the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Alieva to Italy in December 2011. Restoration works should be completed in 2013.
