Baku Metro is drilling an inclined tunnel as a part of the construction of an additional entrance to the Elmlar Akademiyasi metro station, a source in Baku Metro reported.
A number of universities, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and other government agencies and departments are located near the Elmlar Akademiyasi metro station. Also the work is underway to lay the ground manifold and solve the problem of commercial properties located in the construction area .
As the source said, the issue of commercial facilities should be solved in the near future and that will create conditions for full activation of construction and transport communications. The additional entrance to the metro station is to be commissioned by 2015.
