According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR), currently, water richness holds 75-105% of decade norm in the rivers of Major Caucasus, 110-165% in the rivers of Minor Caucasus, 35-95% in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara zone, while 35-40% in Nakhichevan AR.

Water consumption holds 480 m3/sec, i.e. 67% of decade norm (in 2011, 152%, being 1092 m3/sec) in Giragkasaman settlement of Kura river, while 320 m3/sec, i.e. 162% of decade norm (in 2011, 154%, being 304 m3/sec) in Ayrichay settlement of Ganikh river.

At present, water level holds 412 cm (On May 7, 2011, 690 cm) in Surra settlement, 281 cm (On May 7, 2011, 613 cm) in Shirvan region, 233 cm (On May 7, 2011, 540 cm) in Salyan region, 235 cm (On May 7, 2011, 369 cm) in Banka settlement, while 156 cm (On May 7, 2011, 413 cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
