“Issues of protection and restoration of cultural heritage is in the spotlight of Azerbaijan`s government,” said minister of culture and tourism Abulfaz Garayev during the meeting with heads of the deliberative body of the UNESCO World Heritage Center, International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and Italy`s Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation.
The Minister said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation (HAF) makes a great contribution to reconstruction of the world cultural heritage and monuments of history. On large-scale projects being implemented in numerous countries by the HAF, Mr. Garayev said such steps would influence to development of cultures of different nations.
President of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation told of relations between the foundation and Azerbaijani University of Architecture and Construction. The guests hailed work done in Azerbaijan in protection of cultural heritage.
