The issue of determining symbols and emblems of the Azerbaijani cities will be regulated by the law, Parliamentary Culture Committee chairman Nizami Jafarov said. The legislation will define rules and procedures for the creation and selection of symbols and emblems of cities, as well as protection and reconstruction of cultural and architectural monuments, especially in large cities such as Baku, Ganja, Shaki and Nakhchivan. Such a practice already exists in the world, he noted.
