Azerbaijan was represented at the XV International Conference "Tobacco or Health" held in Singapore.
At the event the country was represented by the Tofig Musayev, the head of the Health Department of the Center for Public Health and Reforms of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.
The Center informs that within the conference Musayev participated in plenary sessions, workshops and discussions, acquired new skills in this area.
The conference participants shared their experiences used to combat tobacco smoking and talked about research in the direction of tobacco control.
The conference included presentations on the topics: "Help in refusal from tobacco", "The media & tobacco", "Tobacco economy and the income from tobacco", "Tobacco control", "Media campaign relating to tobacco control", "The policy of tobacco control", "Female leadership on tobacco control".
At the opening of the event it was noted that about 6 million people dies every year of the world’s most dangerous epidemic – tobacco.
