The natural and manmade water caused the landslide, which has recently occurred in Baku between General Shikhlinski street and the Ganja Avenue, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources told Trend on Monday.

As expected,the Geological Commission will today make a decision about the landslide that occurred last week in a residential area, located between the General Shikhlinski street and the Ganja avenue, the Complex and Engineering Geology Expedition of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported.
Following the decision of the commission, which will be announced on the causes landslide, will set a date to return to their homes in two of nine residents who were evacuated.
According to Trend correspondent from the scene, due to the danger of a landslide a special meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov, Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov and head of Executive Power of Baku Hajibala Abutalibov took place today.
About 30 families, mainly consisting of elderly, were relocated to the hotel from the danger zone. Local residents told the correspondent of Trend, that today saw a landslide, but authorities said that such facts have been recorded.
Note that the residential area, located between the street and the general Shikhlinski Ganja Avenue in Khatai district of Baku, is considered an active landslide area.
On Saturday, residents of the two nine-storey buildings, located between the street and the general Shikhlinski Ganja Avenue in Khatai district of Baku, in connection with the threat of landslide have been evacuated.
