Nikoloz Abkhazava has been appointed as Georgia's Ambassador to South Korea. The Georgian parliament has unanimously approved him to this post on the president's recommendation.

Prior to that Abkhazava served as a leading specialist in one of the Georgian parliamentary committees, deputy head of Georgian Petroleum Corporation's Legal Department, as well as ambassador at large missions of the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

Since 2009 he has been working in Japan as the Georgian Embassy's senior adviser. He speaks English, Japanese, Italian and Russian.
