Clashes between police and protestors have occurred throughout Tehran. The protestors demandi the liberation of Iranian opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi and Mir-Hossein Mousavi.

Police used tear gas to disperse participants, the opposition kaleme.com website reported. The Iranian official media have so far refrained from making any statements.

Gunshots were heard in the Enghelab Alley in Tehran, but no casualties were reported, according to kaleme.com. The source said police and security forces have restricted traffic along several streets leading to the Enghelab Alley, but despite this, the number of participants has increased.

Two weeks ago, Iranian authorities banned protestors from visiting the apartments of Mousavi and Karrubi. There is currently no accurate information about where the opposition leaders are being detained.
