Tbilisi is the most attractive tourist destination in Georgia.

According to the report by the National Tourism Agency, Tbilisi accounts for 75% of overall tourists visiting the country. This may be also due to the fact that the capital city is the major communication center of the country.

Tbilisi is followed by Batumi - 44%, Mtskheta - 18%, Kutaisi - 10%, Gori - 10%, Sighnagi - 8%, Kazbegi - 7% and other resorts.

Number of tourists traveling to Adjara increased 78% compared to 2009 to reach 926,010 by the end of the year.  Tourists from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Armenia made up 78% of overall number of tourists in Georgia last year.  

As many as 488,461 tourists from Azerbaijan, 485,137 from Turkey and 479,377 from Armenia and 158,421 from Russia travelled to Georgia in 2010.
