Turkish prime minister's spouse will travel to flood-stricken Pakistan on September 1 to hand over funds collected during a fast-breaking dinner in Turkey.

Emine Erdogan will deliver to Pakistani officials funds to be raised in a fast breaking dinner in Istanbul later on Friday, organized by an association of Turkish businesswomen.

Erdogan will visit Turkish Red Crescent's camp in Pir Sabak on September 2, and later meet Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and their spouses in Islamabad.

Emine Erdogan will fly to Sukkur city, affected by floods, by helicopter on September 3 and visit a field hospital Turkish Health Ministry has set up in Khairpur.

Erdogan is expected to return to Turkey after completing her talks in Pakistan.

Pakistan's worst-ever floods killed at least 1,600 people and displaced more than 20 million.

As many as 17 million acres of farm land have been submerged and billions of dollars of crops destroyed, Pakistani authorities announced earlier.

So far, Turkey has sent $10 million financial aid and 244 tons of relief support that included vaccines, medicine, medical stuff to Pakistan.

Turkey has sent as well a 42-member medical team, two fully equipped mobile hospitals, an ambulance, and a 4x4 truck for medical rescue efforts.

Turkey's Red Crescent Society was also poised to build in to Nowshare five hundred Mevlana houses -- larger tents which provide long-term protection for victims.
