Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton discussed the conflicts in the Caucasus. APA reports quoting the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry that the discussions were held during the phone talk on the initiative of Catherine Ashton. The sides also discussed Near East, Balkan and Transnistria problems.
