Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission (CEC) has so far registered 1,024 international observers to monitor the November 7 parliamentary elections.
Some 33 observers will represent Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, 5 from the Council of the European Union, 3 from European Union's Baku representation, 16 from European Parliament, 10 from Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkish-speaking countries, 58 from OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, 316 from OSCE/ODIHR, 351 from CIS, 2 from GUAM, 31 from the US embassy to Azerbaijan, 12 from the British embassy, 6 from the Kazakh embassy, 4 from the Norwegian embassy, 3 from the Bulgarian embassy, 2 from the Polish embassy, 2 from the Japanese embassy, 1 from the Belgian embassy, 1 from the Finnish embassy, 166 from the Academy for Elections Observation and 2 from “Vestnik Kavkaza” Analytical Information Agency.
