The the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University celebrated the national holiday of Azerbaijan - Republic Day, the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora said.
A film on Azerbaijan was demonsrated at the event, which was opened by rector of the university, Hero of Ukraine Fevzi Yakubov. The university's professor Ismayil Karimov made a report on relations between Azerbaijan and the Crimea. The event was attended by a group of Azerbaijani scientists headed by the rector of Baku State University, deputy of Milli Majlis Abel Maharramov.
