Azerbaijan's speaker of Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov met with Wilfried Martens, head of the European People`s Party (EPP).
Mr. Asadov said relations between the leading New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and EPP, which unites 74 political parties from 39 countries, will give impetus to boosting Azerbaijani-Belgium interparliamentary ties.
Speaker briefed about activity of Milli Majlis, its international relations and Azerbaijan`s foreign policy. He emphasized merits of the two countries` heads in development of bilateral relations.
Mr. Asadov praised Matens`s book “Europe: I Struggle, I Overcome” presented in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Martens expressed his gratitude for presentation of his book in Azerbaijan. He said EPP is keen to develop relations with YAP.
