“Freedom House is known for its biased reports and prejudiced attitude. We strongly condemn this organization for indicating Nagorno-Karabakh as a "disputed territory" between Azerbaijan and Armenia”, ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Deputy Chair Ali Ahmadov said.
Ahmadov said Freedom House’s showing Nagorno-Karabakh as a disputed territory proved that Freedom House is guided by biased principles in its activity.
“Unfortunately, some opposition members in Azerbaijan seek to assess realities in Azerbaijan with reference to the Freedom House reports and other similar organizations. I urge them to see Freedom House’s prejudice from the context of showing the Nagorno-Karabakh as a "disputed territory,” he said.
“It is not correct to use preconceived reports prepared by the organization, which doesn’t want to recognize Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, to assess realities of the country. I believe it shows Freedom House’s preconceived attitude towards Azerbaijan and call on every non-governmental organization and political party of Azerbaijan to voice their protest against such actions,” Ahmadov added.
