Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev over the crash of an express train in his country which caused loss of life.
“The news of a great loss of life as the result of the crash of the Nevsky Express train was a source of great sorrow to me,” the President said in his letter.
“On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I offer sincere condolences and sympathies to you, families and friends of the dead, and wish speedy recovery to the injured,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
