President Ilham Aliyev has extended greetings to the people of Azerbaijan on Gurban holiday.
The President said: “I extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to you and all our fellow countrymen in different parts of the world on the blessed occasion of Gurban holiday.”
“The festive holiday embodies readiness of the Muslims for any selflessness in the name of Allah, religion and good aims. At the same time, it symbolizes their commitment to moral and spiritual values, as well as humanism and brotherly feelings.”
“Azerbaijan, an integral part of the Muslim world, has made unprecedented contributions to the development of Islamic culture throughout history.”
“Islam played a key role in ensuring the atmosphere of exemplary co-existence, stability and tolerance on the base of mutual respect and trust in Azerbaijan`s multi-national and multi-confessional society.”
“The people of Azerbaijan have always been committed to their national and spiritual values and traditions. All religious festivities, including Gurban holiday, are yearly held here with a lot of joy and in high spirits.”
