"Azerbaijan - our long-standing and very active partner in all activities of the North Atlantic Alliance, in particular in the framework of" Partnership for Peace".

So said NATO spokesman James Appathurai during the TV-bridge Moscow-Brussels on "current agenda of NATO and the NATO-Russia relations", organized with the support of the NATO Information Center in Moscow, APA reports.

Commenting on the position of the Alliance to settle the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and the recent meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Munich, NATO spokesman noted that NATO does not play a direct role in the discussions around the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is called "frozen".

"We support all the processes and activities of all those bodies that were created to support the settlement of this conflict. But I repeat, that NATO does not play an active role in this issue", - concluded James Appathurai.
