Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met the visiting Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Nov. 11.
In meeting, Minister Mammadyarov appreciated activity of the Organization of Islamic Conference and expressed gratitude for support of the fair cause of Azerbaijan in settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
The Secretary General gave high assessment to the conference on “Inter-civilization dialogue: Azerbaijani perspective” hosted by the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and the Organization of Islamic Conference in Baku, noting “Azerbaijan makes significant and constructive contribution to the inter-civilization dialogue.”
Parties had comprehensive exchange of views on the important projects being implemented in the frame of OIC, deepening cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Organization, and other questions of mutual concern.
