As many as 1,5147 nominees have been confirmed for 1,536 municipalities in Azerbaijan thus far.
The Central Election Commission said 3,046 of them are women; 8,040 of the nominees have higher education.
Fourteen political parties have nominated their candidates; 1,4904 of the confirmed nominees have started signature collection campaign.
As many as 11,423 of them have submitted the signature sheets and other necessary documents to the election constituencies. A total of 15,682 members are expected to be elected to 1,718 municipalities.
