“Withdrawal of snipers front line by the parties to the conflict will contribute to stability and security at the contact line in the zone of the Karabakh conflict.”
Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Yuri Merzlyakov said.
Co-chairs said at a news conference in Yerevan that the parties to the conflict have not yet reached agreement to withdraw snipers.
French co-chair Bernard Fassier said if general climate of talks improves, the co-chairs may achieve consent to withdraw snipers.
“This is very wise proposal which can save many lives,” he said.
