Russia didn’t receive answer from the United States to its proposal to use Gabala Radar in Azerbaijan for establishing of the joint missile defense system.
It means that the United States doesn’t show an interest to the Russian proposal”, spokesman for the Russian Prime Minister Dmitriy Peskov told Echo Moskvi Radio, APA reports. He said the proposal was made during the presidency of Vladimir Putin. “Such proposals were made for Gabala and other formats as well, but there is no answer yet”. Peskov said new US administration’s statements about “reloading” of the relations allowed to develop the discussions over the missile defense problem. “It doesn’t need to expect very serious steps forward in this issue. The meeting between the Russian and US presidents is a positive fact."
