Nominee for the Council of Europe Secretary General, Polish Senator Vlodzimej Tymoshevic will arrive in Baku on June 10 for a working visit, APA reports quoting the diplomatic sources.
Former Prime Minister of Poland will meet with the speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and the delegation of Azerbaijani Parliament to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Council of Europe Secretary General will be elected at the PACE autumn session. Other candidate for this post is Norway’s former Prime Minister Torbjorn Jagland.
