Azerbaijan will host the next NATO Week in Baku from 10 to 26 June 2009, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elkhan Polukhov told APA.
A series of workshops, conferences and working meetings will be organized in the framework of the week. The Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council will organize “Energy Security: challenges and opportunities” workshop in June 10-11. State Secretary for Strategic Affairs of Romania, NATO coordinator on Azerbaijan, Bogdan Auresku expected to attend the workshop. A working meeting on the scientific cooperation between Azerbaijan-NATO will be held on June 16. The conference on the “Role of Armed Forces and Law-Enforcement Organizations in the cooperation between NATO and Azerbaijan” will be held within a week. NATO coordinator-officer on the South Caucasus Zbignew Ribatski will arrive in Baku to join the conference.
