Azerbaijan respects the national interests of Turkey yet there are situations when the solution on any issue must be taken considering common interests, said chairman of the Great Creation party Fazil Gazanfaroghlu at a round table on "Turkey and Azerbaijan: common interests and problems", held with participation of Azerbaijani and Turkish deputies.
"We respect Ankara's intention to settle the disputed issues with Syria, Bulgaria, Greece. Turkey's intention to improve relations with Armenia is also clear. Nevertheless, this issue should be considered in the context of resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict", noted he.
He said official Ankara has recently intensified its efforts in the South Caucasus striving for peace and stability in the region.
"Loss of Nagorno Karabakh means displacement of Turkey from the South Caucasus", noted Gazanfaroghlu.
