The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan registered an initiative group "Yeni Azerbaijan" created by the ruling party as an agitation group.
According to Novosti-Azerbaijan, this initiative group submitted 46,950 signatures, collected from 117 constituencies, to the Central Electoral Commission.
Of them 3,069 were recognized invalid.
As the minimal number of signatures for registration makes 40,000, the CEC registered the initiative group of the Yeni Azerbaijan party unanimously at its session on Friday.
