Azerbaijani parliament has passed decision on increasing the number of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in Afghanistan at the sitting of autumn session today, APA reports.

Ziyafat Asgarov, First Vice Speaker, Chairman of MM permanent Commission on Security and Defense Issues provided information about the bill on amendment to the law on allocation of peacekeepers of Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Afghanistan under the composition of Turkish Armed Forces and NATO Command and participation in proper operations.

Asgarov stated that two divisions of Azerbaijani Armed Forces had served in Afghanistan by now. After changes, the number of Azerbaijani peacekeepers has been increased by four times.
