President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Tuesday the credentials of the newly-appointed Tajik Ambassador to the country Zokir Vazirov.
They had a conversation, and the President said Azerbaijan-Tajikistan relations are developing in various fields, including political and economic ones.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of organizing high-level reciprocal visits to develop bilateral relations between the two countries.
He also expressed confidence Tajikistan`s new envoy will make every effort towards deepening Azerbaijan-Tajikistan relations.
Ambassador Zokir Vazirov said Tajikistan`s opening its embassy in Azerbaijan is the manifestation of the Tajik government`s respect for the Azerbaijani people and personally to President Ilham Aliyev.
The Ambassador said he will spare no efforts to contribute to enhancing the two countries` relations during his tenure.
