There was an attempt to kidnap the reporter of the opposition newspaper Azadlyg several days ago.
The due information has been provided by sources in the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety.
According to the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Azer Ahmedov, this is not the first case.
"There was an attempt to kidnap our reporter on the way home. Despite that, we do not intend to appeal to the law-enforcement bodies, as they will not be able to help us", A.Ahmedov said.
