CIS Parliamentary Assembly's 28th plenary session started on Thursday in the Tavrichesky Palace in St Petersburg.

Azerbaijan parliament speaker addressing the meeting said after dissolution of Soviet union newly independent countries needed an organization for keeping relations in the economical, trade, cultural and other fields which and the CIS was result of this necessity.

Speaker said there are unsettled conflicts in the CIS territory stressing Nagorno Karabakh as one of those conflicts. He said Azerbaijan government make efforts to settle the Nagorno Karabakh conflict within territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan delegation include head of parliament administration Safa Mirzayev, MPs Rafael Huseynov, Arif Rahimzada, Adil Aliyev, Fazail Aghmali, E. Mammadov, Jamil Hasanli, Ulvi Guliyev and other officials.

Ali Huseynov, Fazail Aghmali and chairman of Administrative affairs of parliament Firudin Hajiyev was awarded for their contribution to the further development of friendship relations between CIS states. APA
