A ceremony to sign Azerbaijan-France intergovernmental documents took place at Matignion Palace with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of France Dominique De Villepin in attendance.

The documents signed were:

Memorandum on Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture and Communication of France; Protocol on cooperation in museum business between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture and Communication of France; Memorandum on cooperation between the Azerbaijan National Library after Mirza Fatali Akhundov and National Library of France;

Agreement on cooperation in tourism between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of France; Agreement on cooperation between State Committee on Problems of Family, Women and Children of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Employment, Social Cohesion and Housing of France; Agreement on cooperation and assistance in Civil Defense and Security fields between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of France; Agreement on scientific cooperation between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and French National Center for Scientific Research; Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and France's organization CNIM; Agreement on purchasing 4 ATR aircrafts between the State Concern "Azerbaijan Airlines" and French aircraft manufacturer ATR.
