Armenia creates artificial obstacles on realization of the visit of Edward O'Hara, PACE Rapporteur on monitoring of cultural monuments in the South Caucasus to Baku, Yerevan and Tbilisi since May, 2006.

Armenia claims that it connected with Azerbaijan, not allowing the mission to enter Nakhchivan AR. Meanwhile, according to the terms of official Baku, the mission headed by British MP Edward O'Hara is to pay a visit to Armenia firstly.

Samad Seyidov, Head of the Azerbaijani Delegation to Parliament Assembly of Council of Europe: "Prior to Azerbaijan visit the mission should investigate conditions of Azerbaijani monuments in Armenia. Alongside, they have to investigate destruction of Azerbaijani monuments as well as arsons in occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Only after it, Edward O'Hara's mission can come to Azerbaijan."
