"Some forces attempt to connect the protest actions staged by Azerbaijanis living in Iran with Azerbaijan, in particular Baku. However, these are groundless attempts," Azerbaijani extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Iran told journalists.
The ambassador said Iranian Azerbaijanis live in their native home country in Iran.
"Azerbaijanis have been living there for thousands years. Azerbaijanis have a great role in the history of Iran. I think Azerbaijanis mean a lot to Iran. We are like brothers with all Azerbaijanis living in different parts of the world. However, international laws accepted by the whole world should be obeyed," the ambassador underlined. /APA/
