American Armenians in Armenia held an action in support of US Ambassador to this country John Evans, who according to some data was recalled from Yerevan.
The action participants handed round yellow ribbons which symbolize trust and sincerity in American culture. According to one of the initiators Eduard Balasanyan, the US government and State Department should not take part in "diplomatic games". The matter concerns not the diplomat but the position of the State Department and the U.S. government that do not recognize the "Armenian Genocide". Ambassador Evans gave no comments.
