The Azerbaijani Prime-Minister, Artur Rasizadeh has met the Turkish President, Ahmed Nejed Sezer, who is currently visiting Azerbaijan, on April 5.

As Trend reports, issue of the bilateral cooperation and realization of the regional projects were discussed at the meeting. Special attention has been paid to the development of economic ties and expanding the commodity circulation between the two states.

Both sides expressed their hopes that the levels of trade will soon reach $1 billion. Rasizadeh, in his turn emphasized the high interest of local businessmen to expand economic ties with Turkey.

More than $2,2bln was invested by the Turkish businessmen into the local economy. The total level of commodity circulation reached $550m in 2004, and $795m in 2005.
