33rd Conference of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) foreign ministers will take place in Baku on June 19-21, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry informed.

As Trend reports, Mass Media accreditation to report on the work of the forum starts April 15.

OIC was founded in 1969 at the conference of the Muslim leaders in Rabat. 57 states are now ICO members and 10 other states are observers. Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan became OIC members in 1992, Kazakhstan in 1995 and Uzbekistan in 1996.

The decision to pass the organization presidency to Azerbaijan in 2006 and hold the next 33rd meeting in Baku has been made last year in Sane at the III OIC emergency summit and 32nd conference of OIC foreign ministers. According to the same decision, the 5th meeting of the Tourism Ministers of the member states will be held in Baku.
