Yesterday Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has discussed the appeal on unacceptability of Armenia's membership to CE.

As APA reports, the appeal was sent to the Committee of Ministers by Rafael Huseynov, member of Azerbaijani delegation to Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. The document was titled "It is acceptable that aggressor Armenia, acting in contradiction of principles and criteria of Council of Europe, is a member of this organization".

The document says on the contrary to the commitments, Armenia has not stopped occupation against Azerbaijan 20% of territories of which was occupied: "Armenia stated its intention to occupy Nakhchivan, stuck heavy blow on the ecology of Azerbaijan, used the occupied territories for cultivation of narcotics and transit for narcotics, conducted nuclear researches and established nuclear wastelands, organized terrorist groups and contributed to the terrorist camps. Head of anti-democratic regime in Armenia, Robert Kocharyan is one of the participants of Khojali genocide committed against Azerbaijanis and he admitted this while addressing in the tribune of Council of Europe, said openly that he is proud of this and he is unready for regulation of the conflict in peaceful way. It is a fact that Armenia conducted ethnic cleansing policy against Azerbaijan is shown as an aggressor in the resolution made on the basis of observations of Council of Europe for 5 years. It has been against the basic principles and criteria of Council of Europe during its 5-year membership period, it showed openly that it doesn’t deserve to the family of Council of Europe, it was officially stated by Council of Europe as aggressor because of occupation against Azerbaijan and it impeded development of democracy in the country. Isn’t it high time to remove Armenia from this organization?"

Rafael Huseynov said that Armenian side has sent an inquiry to the Committee of Ministers on destruction of alleged Armenian graveyards. But this issue was not discussed because it had been discussed once before.
