"The formation of new Central Election Committee (CEC) and the full completion of the process after the by-elections to parliament is logical," said MP Fazail Aghamaly, the chairman of Ana Vatan Party.

He told Trend that proposals by opposition on formation of CEC on parity basis was wrong. "The intention of the opposition, which don't have authority in the society and lost the presidential and parliamentary elections, is to cast doubt to these processes through getting different posts at CEC," he underlined.

Aghamaly also stressed that representatives of the political parties should not join CEC in the future in order to prevent similar misunderstanding, aroused at formation of the Committee. "In many countries election administration formed from non-politicians. This practice is due to be applied in Azerbaijan," he said.
