Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Robert Kocharyan will meet shortly in Paris for continuation of negotiations for the Nagorny Karabakh conflict settlement.

Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Robert Kocharyan will meet shortly in Paris for continuation of negotiations for the Nagorny Karabakh conflict settlement, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, a President’s Special Envoy on the Nagorny Karabakh settlement Araz Azimov said in a statement on 23 January 2006 at the briefing, dedicated to the results of the talks between the Foreign Ministries heads of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Elmar Mammadyarov and Vardan Oskanyan held on 18-19 January 2006 in Paris.

As Trend reports, the arrangement on the Presidents' next meeting has been reached on the initiative of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen, which proposed to hold the meeting in the current February.

According to Azimov, the meeting's exact schedule and the agenda are not coordinated yet. "There are issues of the principal character requiring discussing by the presidents of the conflicting states".
