Prosecutor General Office and nongovernmental organizations of Azerbaijan held today a roundtable at the International Press Center where they discussed corruption situation in the country and punishment measures for those responsible for it.
Mubariz Ahmadov, the Prosecutor of the Information-Analytical Division of the Department on Struggle with Corruption under the Prosecutor General’s Office, participating at the meeting noted that the Azerbaijani government joined some conventions and unified the national legislation with the conventions in order to bring corruption in the country to an end. "The items of the bill on struggle with corruption have already been executed. The Committee on Struggle with Corruption was established within the Prosecutor General’s Committee in this regard. At the same time, the President approved state program on struggle with corruption," reported Ahmadov. Trend
